Arranging An Intro Game

You could even pre-organise one at a club night.

We are looking for club members who can step up and put themselves forward as Intro Game Leaders. Please talk to a committee member or make contact via email.

Getting into wargaming can be challenging for newcomers due to the vast array of rule sets, miniatures, and game systems available. Then there is the learning the rules and finding people to play with.

Here at the club, we have built a friendly and welcoming community that is more than happy to help you learn the rules of your favourite wargame or even try out different games.

I Don't Have Miniatures

One of the largest barriers for people learning to play games is due to them not having the models to play with. Maybe you are unsure of where to start or don’t want to play with unpainted models.

If you join in on a weekly multiplayer game run by our multiplayer GM, models will usually be provided to enable you to join in.

Other gamers may allow you to control some units in a 1v1 game. This would need to be discussed at the time. This could also be pre-arranged with those players involved.

Under the Club Upgrading plan, we are looking at introducing some of the well know manufacturer's starter sets so that they can be used for intro games.
These are based on 2 factions/2 players and will be modelled and painted up ready to go.
Below are some potential starter sets:

1. Warhammer 40K

2. Age of Sigmar

3. Bolt Action

4. Warcry

5. Kill Team

We would like to think that we can add these intro sets and more as long as there is demand for new systems.

Additionally, most of our committee and attendees are more than happy to bring along an extra team/warband/army to take someone through an intro game. So do make sure to ask if you want to try something out!
